Jeff Jourdan, chairman of the Taylor Haugen Foundation, announces Maddie Hiers, a senior volleyball and tennis player at South Walton High School, as the 2017 recipient of the Taylor Haugen Trophy. The trophy is awarded annually to an area athlete who best demonstrates a balance among academics, athleticism, leadership, community service and faith, according to the foundations website.
