The Mount Vernon Buildings Department is doing more with less.
“Dan and his staff have done an extraordinary job. They need to be complimented, simply for digitizing the system,” said Joe Apicella of The MacQuesten Companies. “It’s really not a minor thing. It’s a major thing what you’ve been able to accomplish.”
This digitization has led to unprecedented accomplishments for the department:
1. Plan review turnaround time is down a record 60%
2. Permit turnaround time is down to an average of 3 days when relevant deliverables are with the Department of Buildings
3. Building Department fees are being placed back into taxpayer's pockets by partnering with local business to perform professional services
